The Red Devils striker wants to make his presence felt this season after struggling to break into the team and being linked with a loan move away from Old Trafford.
Federico Macheda is keen to prove his quality for Manchester United this season.
The Italy Under-21 international was linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the summer, with Newcastle United and QPR keen on signing the striker on loan.
But the youngster has remained with Sir Alex Ferguson's side and is aiming to train hard to show his worth.
He said on Twitter: “Tomorrow back to training. I’m gonna train so hard this season and show people that I’m here as well. I’m ready to show what I can do!”
Macheda announced himself to the fans spectacularly as a 17-year-old, scoring a stoppage-time winner against Aston Villa towards the end of the 2008-09 Premier League season, but he has been unable to break into the first team with injury disrupting his progress.
After spending the second half of last season on loan at Sampdoria, the striker got off to a good start during pre-season for United, scoring a brace in the opening game of their tour of the United States against New England Revolution.
But the Italian faces stiff competition for a starting place at Old Trafford, with Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Dimitar Berbatov, Danny Welbeck, Michael Owen and Mame Biram Diouf all battling for a spot in attack.
